ABOUT THE ATTORNEY

Sheldon Stein is An Experienced Bankruptcy Attorney

Admitted to practice law in 1976, Sheldon Stein is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Marshall College of Law, and the National College of Bankruptcy Advocacy, Suffolk University. He has received awards from the Legal Aid Society and the Cleveland Bar Association.

He has advised and represented many individuals and small businesses about bankruptcy and debt relief matters over the past 30 years.

In addition, he has served, since 2004, as a Bankruptcy Trustee. When an individual files bankruptcy, a bankruptcy hearing is conducted and the case administered by a Bankruptcy Trustee appointed by the United States Department of Justice, Office of the United States Trustee. In that capacity, he has heard and administered countless bankruptcy cases filed by individuals and businesses.

Thus, he is experienced in handling both sides in bankruptcy cases, and, as such, can anticipate potential problems before they happen. He represents individuals and small businesses in bankruptcy and debt relief cases, and serves as a Bankruptcy Trustee. He understands the bankruptcy system, and knows what to expect. Few lawyers can match his experience.

A frequent speaker at continuing legal educations programs, he has lectured at the Southeastern Regional Bankruptcy Institute in North Carolina, and at bankruptcy programs sponsored by the Ohio State Bar Association, the Ohio Legal Center Institute, the William J. O’Neill Regional Bankruptcy Institute, the   White-Williams Bankruptcy Institute, and the Cleveland Bar Association.

He has also published articles about bankruptcy in several publications for lawyers.
